THE 3 PPL YOU NEED TO BE TO AVOID EMOTIONAL EATING👇🏻👇🏻
1. THE INVESTIGATOR 🔎 Figure out what thoughts actions and feelings led to you emotional eating. What was the series of thoughts and feelings that preceeded you eating the entire cake? What happened that day? Become a curious investigator of your mind and emotions.
2. THE ANALYST 📈 Determine what you REALLY needed when you ate emotionally. Did you need love, comfort, reassurance? Rest? Were you seeing connection, or perhaps just to have your feelings validated? Determine what you ACTUALLY needed in that moment.
3. THE GO-GETTER 🏋🏼♀️ Brainstorm 3 ways of fulfilling that deeper need without food. Find ways to incorporate those things into your life. If the need is “comfort,” you could write a letter to yourself where you acknowledge whatever you’re going through. If you need rest or time for yourself, incorporate a 5 min meditation or 30 min walk alone into your day.
